Police identify woman found dead in St. Catharines

Niagara police are continuing to investigate a recent homicide in St. Catharines.

Around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, officers were called to a residence in the area of Church Street and Queenston Street.

“When officers arrived, they located an adult female inside the residence who was subsequently pronounced deceased,” police said.

With the consent of her family, police have identified the victim as 22 year old St. Catharines woman Tineisha Chatwin.

The circumstances of her death have not yet been disclosed and there is no suspect information at this time.

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Homicide Unit’s investigation is ongoing.
