Police identify two suspects following man’s death at St. Catharines home

Police have identified two suspects wanted in connection with the death of a man in St. Catharines.

Niagara police say that around 8 pm on April 10, officers were called to a housing complex on Louth St. near Valley Road to investigate reports that a person was injured.

Police say officers and paramedics located a 34-year-old male in critical condition. Efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say St. Catharines man Ryan Johan Orland Logtenberg, 42, and Shawn Robert Dearl Montgomery, 45, were arrested and charged with manslaughter and failing to comply with release orders.

The suspects were held in custody to attend a video bail hearing on April 11.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Detectives say there is no threat to public safety.
