Police hunt man wanted for early-morning Mississauga stabbing

One man dead in Stoney Creek Hamilton

Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for the man responsible for the overnight stabbing of another man while he waited for a bus in north Mississauga.

The victim, a 21-year-old man, was at a bus stop at Creditview Rd. and Duval Dr., just south of Britannia Rd. W., shortly before 5 a.m. Friday morning when he was approached by another man and stabbed.

The wounded man was taken to hospital a short time later with injuries Peel Regional Police describe as not life-threatening.

Investigators from Peel police 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Police have not said what motive they believe to be involved.

The attacker is described as black, standing 5-foot-10 to 6-foot, wearing a red hooded sweater and black shorts with white stripes on the sides.
