Police are appealing to the public for help in tracking down the culprits who slashed the tires of 20 dump trucks last week in Mississauga, causing more than $100,000 in damage.

Investigators with Peel Regional Police 11 Division say at some point during the late evening hours of April 11, “multiple suspects entered into a fenced compound” of a company in the Derry and McLaughlin Rds. area of the city and slashed the 80 tires.

Police describe the targeted business as a general freight trucking company.

The damage is estimated to be more than $100,000, police say.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 1133, or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police add that if anyone has video surveillance, dashcam or digital video footage that could be helpful, they’re encouraged to visit the Peel Regional Police Evidence Submission Page online.
