PHOTOS: Vehicle goes wrong way on highway, causing major crash in Burlington

A serious highway crash has taken place early Sunday (Oct. 24) in Burlington.
OPP reported after 7:00 a.m. that a vehicle had been going the wrong way on the QEW at Northshore Boulevard, resulting in a two-vehicle crash.
Police say there was a single occupant in both vehicles, both of which have been hospitalized with serious injuries.

“Alcohol consumption is being investigated as a contributing factor in this crash,” said OPP.
The QEW (Fort Erie bound) remains closed at Northshore. QEW access is still open via Eastport.
