PHOTOS: Mississauga Man Facing 100 Gun and Drug-Related Charges

A Mississauga man is facing 100 gun and drug-related charges after police allegedly seized $400,000 worth of illegal substances and over a dozen guns from his home and vehicle.

Toronto police say that in late 2018, members of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force began an investigation into the distribution of controlled substances and possession of firearms

On Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, Hewan Wilson, 50, was arrested and charged with 16 counts of possession of a firearm, 17 counts of possession of a weapon obtained by crime, seven counts of possession of a loaded firearm, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking heroin, possess for the purpose of trafficking weapons and more.

He has also been charged with 29 counts of careless storage.

It is further alleged that police seized seven handguns, three shotguns, six rifles, four kilograms of heroin (street value of approximately $400,000.00), approximately half an ounce of cocaine, proceeds of crime and two over-capacity magazines

Police say search warrants were executed at his home in the Hurontario Street and Sherobee Road area and his 2018 Toyota Highlander vehicle.
