Burlington and Milton Fire Departments are on scene battling a blaze this afternoon.

Halton Police confirmed around 7:00 p.m. that a grass fire broke out near Derry Road east of Twiss Road in Burlington, close to the Milton border.

Crews were dispatched and the fire is under control, police say.

There are road closures in the area as crews continue to work on the fire.
