Roads closed in Mississauga for police probe.

Police have shut down roads at and near a busy east Mississauga intersection after a dead body was discovered around the noon hour on Wednesday.

A Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com police received a call “for a deceased person located in the area of Cawthra Road and Dundas Street East.”

“Due to the sensitive nature of the call, we are not providing any further details at this time,” the spokesperson added. “At this time, we have not been given any indication that this is suspicious in nature.”

Police said they’ll provide additional details later, if appropriate.

In the meantime, a number of roads in the area have been closed to traffic for the police investigation.

Northbound and southbound lanes of Cawthra Road are closed at Dundas Street East while westbound Dundas Street East lanes are closed at Haines Road, police said.
