Peel Region reporting 29 new COVID-19 cases, 16 in Mississauga and 13 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 29 new COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday (September 28).

Of Tuesday’s new cases, 16 are in Mississauga, while 13 are in Brampton, and zero are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 116,275 cases. Of these, 114,876 have recovered, while 391 are still pending, 3,419 have been hospitalized, and 1,009 have died.

As of Tuesday, 58.8 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.9 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.1 per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 466 new cases on Tuesday, as well as 11 new deaths. With 23,785 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 1.96 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 31,855 vaccinations. As of Tuesday, 76 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 88 per cent of adults, and 82 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
