Peel Region reporting 102 new COVID-19 cases, 61 in Mississauga and 39 in Brampton

The Region of Peel is reporting 102 new COVID-19 cases as of Monday (September 20).

Of Monday’s new cases, 61 are in Mississauga, while 39 are in Brampton, and just two are in Caledon.

This brings the total for the Region to 115,777 cases. Of these, 114,200 have recovered, while 586 are still pending, 3,395 have been hospitalized, and 992 have died.

As of Monday, 58.9 per cent of cases are in Brampton, 36.8 per cent are in Mississauga, and just 4.1 per cent are in Caledon.

The Province is reporting 610 new cases on Monday, as well as two new deaths. With 23,864 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.56 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 16,712 vaccinations. As of Monday, 75 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 87 per cent of adults, and 81 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
