Pedestrian suffers serious injuries following hit-and-run in Mississauga

Peel Regional Police are on the lookout for the driver responsible for a Mississauga hit-and-run last night, which left a woman with serious injuries.

A 20-year-old woman was crossing Dundas Street near Hensall Circle around 6 p.m., when she was struck by a light-coloured Sedan.  

Police say the driver fled the scene after hitting the victim.

According to investigators, the victim was transported to a trauma centre for treatment of her injuries, which were deemed non-life-threatening.

The victim’s name, age, and place of residence has not been made public by police.

Investigators urge anyone with information about the collision, including witnesses or those with dash camera footage, to contact the Major Collision Bureau at (905) 453–2121, ext. 3710. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
