Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Mississauga, taken to trauma centre

A collision has been reported this evening.
Police were called at 9:13 p.m. after a vehicle struck a male pedestrian at Eglinton Avenue East and Hurontario Street.
The victim was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
The vehicle remained at the scene, police say.
Until further notice, Eglinton is closed both ways from Hurontario to Sorrento.
Residents should avoid the area and take different routes.
