A woman was sent to hospital after being struck by a vehicle at one of the city’s most dangerous intersections.

The woman was hit at the intersection of Dundurn Street and King Street West on Thursday (Sept. 8) morning, said Hamilton Police Service media relations Const. Krista-Lee Ernst.

Two vehicles collided taking one vehicle off the roadway. The woman was hit by the vehicle that forced off the roadway.

She was transported to hospital and is in stable condition.

Hamilton Police Service continues to investigate.

The intersection of Dundurn Street and King Street West is consistently listed as one of the most dangerous in the city with 26 collisions reported there in 2021.

In 2022, it was listed as the second-worst intersection for collisions from 2017 to 2021.

In April, a collision led to serious injuries for one driver and an eight-hour closure of the intersection.
