Direct flights out of Mississauga’s Pearson Airport to a pair of popular U.S. destinations will be available to travellers in the next two weeks.
Starting this Tuesday (April 5), American Airlines is launching direct Pearson to Boston service each week.
“This is welcome news for our industry as our airline partners continue to expand,” Pearson Airport officials tweeted on Thursday.
Starting April 14, Edmonton-based low-cost carrier Flair Airlines will take passengers directly from Pearson Airport to Nashville, Tennessee, popularly known as Music City.
Check airline websites or Pearson Airport for information related to specific flights.
After a dramatic reduction in air travel at Pearson and around the world for nearly two years as the COVID-19 pandemic slowed or halted operations, people are travelling by air once again as restrictions have been lifted.
At Pearson, travellers have started returning in large numbers and the Friday before March Break was the airport’s busiest day in two years.
