Update: Patient missing from Ontario Shores in Whitby prompts search

Update Jun. 6: Heinekamp has been located safely.
A search is underway for a patient who has gone missing from Whitby’s Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.
Anthony Heinekamp, 52, was last seen leaving the hospital shortly before 2 p.m. on Jun. 1. He takes medication and his condition may deteriorate without it.
Durham Regional Police describe Heinekamp as a white man, standing 5-foot-4, with a medium build and a shaved head. He was wearing a red shirt, grey jacket and blue jeans.
If spotted, Heinekamp should not be approached, police said, but anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.
