The meticulously landscaped grounds of Parkwood Estate’s south lawn will be the site for the Springtime Maker’s Market next month, quite possibly “the prettiest Maker’s Market you will ever attend.”

More than 50 vendors will be at Parkwood on June 4 and admission is free for the event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Our goal is to encourage people to enjoy the outdoors and discover what Durham has to offer by focusing on showcasing unique, high-quality local vendors and artisans,” said Filomena Lowry, Parkwood National Historic Site’s Special Events Coordinator. “Supporting local has never been more important.”

Hand-made crafts, jewelry, artworks and delicious baked goods will be among the products available at the market, from vendors such as @bakezilla.ca, @creationsbeautifulchaos, @bohohoneyjewelry, @cactus.studios, @farmhouseinthecitymarket, @fetchingbowties and @_fromunderthecherrytree,  to name just a few.

Parkwood also announced the return of their popular Fall Vendor Market, re-branded this year as Fall Fest.

Fall Fest, which will have a special area under the Arbour for kid vendors, will be Sunday, September 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
