Pancake and waffle mix recalled due to presence of insects in Mississauga and Brampton

Health Canada reports that multiple products have been recalled from stores in Ontario this week (Dec. 13 to 19) due to potential health and safety risks, including stores in Mississauga and Brampton.

Residents are advised to check if they have these products at home and avoid using or consuming them out of caution.

The following products are affected:


Great Value brand Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix Complete

Risk: Possible presence of insects.

Affected products:

What you should do: Recalled food products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.


Taylor Farms brand Maple Bourbon Chopped Salad Kit

Risk: Possible Salmonella contamination. Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick with symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.

Alasko brand IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) whole kernel corn
