“What’s going on at the Tribute Communities Centre,” was the question on some people’s minds as they saw the buzz of activity at the downtown Oshawa arena Monday night.

Spectra Venue Management (the same company that owns the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL) admitted they fielded “a lot of questions” about what was happening at the arena.

“There’s no Generals’ game. Is it a concert? On election night?”

None of the above, Spectra said on social media yesterday. “The Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa was the Federal Conservative Party Headquarters for last night’s election” as Erin O’Toole tried to rally his troops across the country to victory.

O’Toole didn’t wake up Tuesday morning as Prime Minister of Canada, but he did secure his Durham Riding seat, which borders the Oshawa Riding to the east and north.
