The Toronto Raptors weren’t the only winners at their recent game, a man from Oshawa won also big, taking home $550,000 from The Bigger Spin.

Steven Antal, a retired auto worker has been playing the lottery regularly for 20 years. This dedication paid off in 2018 and 2019 when he won $250,000 and $100,000 respectively.

However, his biggest win was yet to come. He walked into the Taunton Convenience on Taunton Rd. in Oshawa and picked up a Bigger Spin scratcher ticket.

The scratch ticket gave Antal the chance to win between $10 and $100,000 or a chance to spin a real wheel at the OLG prize centre in Toronto. The lotto screen at Taunton Convenience landed on “Bigger Spin,” sending him to Toronto.

There he spun the wheel for a chance to win $500,000 to $1 million. Antal’s spin landed on $550,000. “When the wheel landed on $550,000, I looked out in the crowd to see the faces of my family giving me a thumbs up,” Antal said.

“Then we were escorted to our courtside seats to see the game up close. What a way to experience my first Raptors game. It was amazing,” he continued.

Antal plans to share his win with his kids and grandkids and take a trip to British Columbia to visit family.
