It took a third period goal by Brett Harrison – just 10 seconds after the Petes had tied it – for the Oshawa Generals to salvage something positive from a busy weekend in the OHL.

Harrison’s game-winner on Sunday gave the Generals a 4-3 victory over Peterborough, a much needed victory after two tough losses on Friday and Saturday, including one against the Petes.

Stuart Rolofs, Luke Torrance and Cameron Butler had the other Oshawa goals Sunday while Zach Paputsakis had 30 saves in net.

Oshawa dropped a close 4-3 decision in Kingston Friday after coming from behind twice to tie it. Calum Ritchie, Butler and Ty Tullio scored for Oshawa while Patrick Leaver had a busy night between the pipes facing 31 shots.

Martin Chromiak scored twice for the Frontenacs.

The next night saw the Generals in Peterborough and they came away on the wrong end of a 5-2 score, with Ritchie and Rolofs finding the net for Oshawa. Leaver was busy once more in the crease stopping 31 of 36 shots.

The Generals have another three-games-in-three-nights weekend coming up as they visit Mississauga Friday night and Barrie Saturday before returning home for a rematch with the Barrie Colts Sunday at the Tribute Communities Centre.

The Generals have had a slow re-start to the season and sit in third place in the division and sixth in the conference at 18-16-3.
