Ontario investing $200,000 in Milton for agri-food innovation

Parm Gill, MPP for Milton, recently announced that through the Agri-Tech Innovation Program, the government of Ontario will be investing $200,000 for two projects in Milton.
The two projects include Chudleigh’s and Fresh Start Food, which will each be receiving $100,000 to help with food manufacturing.
This is part of a $22 million province-wide investment that will help the agri-food sector implement ways to strengthen the food supply chain, create safer workplaces and make operations run more smoothly to ultimately, set businesses up for future growth and success.
“By investing $200,000 for innovative local projects in our community, our government is taking strong action to help the agri-food sector in Milton grow and succeed,” said Gill.
“This will strengthen Ontario’s food supply chain while also creating safer and more resilient workplace operations.”
Along with helping to support the adoption of technology to improve the productivity of farmers and agri-food processing businesses, the investment will also help to address the labour shortage while supporting long-term sustainability and growth of the sector.
