One man fatally shot and another stabbed in Oakville

A shooting at a house in Oakville late last night has left one man dead while another was hospitalized with stab wounds.
The shooting took place at a house on Stanbury Road where one man was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released details regarding the deceased individual’s identity, including his name, age, or place of residence.
A second man in his 50’s was transported to Hamilton General Hospital with stab wounds to the chest.
Halton police have refrained from disclosing additional information regarding the severity of his condition and have not shared the victim’s name.
Officials have not indicted if there were any other occupants inside the house during the incident.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are currently unknown.
According to a recent post on X (formerly Twitter) by user DR Media 371, the shooting was allegedly police-involved, although Halton Police have not officially confirmed this detail.
Additionally, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has reportedly taken charge of the investigation.
