One man dead after motorcycle crashes into a car in Hamilton

A motorcycle rider has died after colliding with a car on Saturday afternoon in the City of Hamilton.

On June 17 (2023) close to 2:40 p.m., police say a motorcycle travelling southbound crashed into an Acura moving northbound at the intersection of Green Mountain Rd / Upper Centennial Pkwy in Hamilton.

According to investigators, the 35-year-old man who was operating the motorcycle was transported to a hospital in serious condition, but later died due to his injuries.

The 25-year-old driver of the Acura remained at the scene of the crash and officers say she is cooperating with the investigators. It is unknown if she suffered any injuries during the accident, as police have not mentioned those details in their inital report.

This is the 7th traffic fatality of 2023 and 4th involving a motorcycle.
