One arrested, one at-large after police stop stolen car in Courtice

Police arrested one man and are searching for another after a routine traffic stop in Courtice.

A Durham Police officer spotted a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado truck in the parking lot of a Fat Bastard Burrito Wednesday night after noticing it had an illegible license plate.

Police discovered the truck was reported stolen from the Durham area.

When the officer approached the vehicle both the driver and passenger of truck bolted on foot The officer was able to arrest the passenger, but the driver escaped.

Christopher Farrow, 30, from Oshawa is charged with stealing a car, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
