Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has issued a third-quarter non-tax gaming revenue payment to the Town of Milton.

According to OLG, a total of $2,000,691 was issued to the Town for hosting Elements Casino – Mohawk.

Milton has received over $126.7 million in non-tax gaming revenue since 1999, according to OLG.

“We are happy that host gaming municipalities received payments this past quarter through Municipality Contribution Agreements,” said Parm Gill, Member of Provincial Parliament for Milton.

“Once public safety restrictions are lifted again, land-based casinos will continue to play a vital role in the economic recovery of our communities.”

According to OLG, payments are issued to host municipalities under the Municipality Contribution Agreements, using a formula applied across all Ontario sites that are based on a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted sites.

To date, host municipalities have received almost $1.8 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.
