An Oakville shopping centre has been recognized for its excellence at the recent Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) 2021 International Conference & Expo in Boston, MA.

Shops of Oakville South, located at 461-499 Cornwall Road, was one of seven Canadian buildings named a winner of The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award.

The local 111,300-square-foot shopping centre was named the open air retail winner. Completed in 2015, Shops of Oakville South includes 26 stores and services and is anchored by a 45,000-square-foot Longo’s and Harpers Landing.

It is owned by Shops of Oakville South Inc. and managed by FCR Management Services LP.

TOBY Awards recognize quality in commercial buildings and reward excellence in building management. The awards program begins at the local level and lead up to international awards.

All aspects of a building’s operations are closely evaluated during the competitions, including community involvement, site management and environmental policies and procedures.
