Oakville’s Djustice Sears-Duru and Matt Tierney will be in the starting 15 for Canada in the second leg of Canada’s Rugby World Cup qualifying series against the U.S. Eagles on Saturday in Glendale, Colo.

Sears-Duru, Tierney and their Canadian teammates won the first leg, 34-21, on Sept. 4 in St. John’s, N.L.

In that contest, Canada fell behind 14-10 before running off 24 straight points to take control of the contest.

Canada will have the same starting lineup on Saturday.

“We’ve got a 13 point lead (in the series) at the moment and we’ve got 80 minutes to play,” Canadian head coach Kingsley Jones said following Canada’s win last weekend. “We know it’s going to be a different challenge this week, a big challenge.

“We are fortunate to be able to choose the same starting fifteen that have again earned this selection, while we’re happy to have Kyle fit to add to our reserve strength.”

With the win, Canada moved up one place in the World Rugby rankings to No. 21.

The aggregate winner of the North American playoff moves on to face Uruguay in early October.
