Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills vaccination rates hit special mark

COVID-19 vaccinations rates have hit 90 per cent in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.

As of Monday (March 21), 90 per cent of all Oakville residents ages 12 and over have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

A total of 92 per cent of residents in Oakville ages 12 and up have gotten at least one dose. The number of people with three doses is currently 58 per cent of the population.

In Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills, a total of 1,274,480 doses have been administered.

A total of 92 per cent of the population of Halton Region ages 12 and over has received at least two does, while 94 per cent have at least one dose.

The numbers of those who have received three doses in Halton now sits at 59 per cent.

The highest vaccination numbers in Halton belong to Milton. A total of 97 per cent of the population has received at least two doses, while 98 per cent have at least one does and 53 per cent have three doses.

Burlington has the highest number of people with three does with 63 per cent of its population getting fully vaccinated. The city has 91 per cent of its population with two doses, while 92 per cent have at least one shot.

Halton Hills has 90 per cent of its population with two doses, while 92 per cent of have received at least one vaccine shot.

A total of 57 per cent of people in Halton Hills have received all three doses.
