The free event starts at 8 pm and ends with fireworks at midnight. Bring your skates and your appetite and ride Miway for free from 7 pm on Dec. 31to 4 am on Jan. 1.

Savory or sweet, there will be a variety of food trucks serving many their last meal of 2014, including:

Frankie Fettuccine is Canada’s first pasta-themed food truck. Fresh, local ingredients are used in classic and traditional dishes, such as their signature Ossobuco Gnocchi Poutine.

La Loteria creates authentic Mexican flavours and promises real Mexican tacos curbside.

Ish & Chips started as a restaurant, serving their award-winning fish and chips and other comfort food dishes to sit-down diners. They eventually decided to hit the streets with the Ish & Chips food truck so pedestrians could enjoy some curbside fish and fries.

Rancho Relaxo, once a well-known T.O. Mexican concert venue and resto, has gone mobile with their very own food truck. They serve up their infamous fish tacos and other favorites, including quesadillas, burritos and yams.

BeaverTails GTA Mobile Truck is the very first mobile Beavertails truck to hit the streets — and it originated in Mississauga. The classic Canadian treat is made with hand-stretched, float-fried whole wheat pastries that are served hot and finished with various toppings, including the popular chocolate banana.

Chimney Stax Baking Co. creates an all-natural, baked, never fried dessert called Chimney Stax, which is a spin on Chimney Cakes — a popular street snack served in Eastern Europe.

I Love Churros specialty is none other than the popular Mexican sweet treat called a churro, which is made with sweet dough that’s deep fried and coated with cinnamon and sugar. For an extra sweet treat, the churros can be filled with chocolate, caramel or jam. Mmmmm!

Mike’s Dog House is Mississauga’s mobile food cart that concocts super hot dogs that offer a variety of toppings, including pulled pork, hash browns and eggs, chili and French fries.

Look out for a hot dog and candy floss stand that will also be at the Square.
