Niagara Region reports another 16 new COVID-19 cases after just four yesterday

Niagara Health reported another 16 next COVID-19 cases today (October 25) and with 18 resolved cases, the number of active cases in Niagara Region dipped slightly to 154 – still up from last week’s low of 122 cases.

Four Niagara municipalities remain with double-digits caseloads as St. Catharines numbers 56 cases on its own (36 per cent of the region’s total) followed by Niagara Falls at 35 cases. Following the leaders are Grimsby with 15 in total and Fort Erie tallying 12.

The remaining eight municipalities ranges from two cases in both Pelham and Wainfleet up to seven cases in Welland.

As you can see from the chart below, all of Niagara’s cases are believed to be the Delta variant.
