Niagara Police are on the hunt for a man after a report of him allegedly wielding a gun in a St. Catharines home.

Yesterday (November 1) at 2:30 pm, Niagara Police, as well as the Emergency Task Unit, were called to a house in the Lampman Crescent and Keefer Road area but couldn’t find the man. He did not say whether he fled on foot or in a car.

After investigating, they were able to identify him and have put out a warrant for his arrest.

James Mcgowan, 37, of Hannon, Ontario, is wanted on three counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Niagara Police are warning that McGowan (shown below) is considered armed and dangerous.  If he is seen, the police say do not approach him but call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905-688-4111, ext.1009412.
