Niagara Falls MPP will host emergency healthcare townhall

Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates will be holding an “emergency healthcare townhall” in February as concerns over shortfalls in the system continue to escalate in the region.
Gates has booked the Memorial Room at the Gale Centre (5152 Thorold Stone Rd.) on Feb. 9 from 6:30 to 8 pm so he can collect public input “to discuss the crisis.”
“We will be featuring a panel of health care experts and front-line workers to discuss the crisis, our concerns with the continued growth of privatization, and listening directly to the concerns and stories of residents,” said the MPP.
This event is open to the public with light refreshments being served. “For the safety of all community members, the organizers ask that people wear a mask indoors.”
