New York City’s viral soft serve margaritas just landed in Toronto

Soft serve margaritas that have been going totally viral on social media have now touched down in Toronto, and there’s just one great place to go in order to get them.

El Catrin in the Distillery District neighbourhood of Toronto is jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to soft serve margaritas, and the restaurant claims it’s the first place to get them in the entire city.

It’s the perfect place to be serving viral soft serve margaritas, as El Catrin has one of the best and biggest outdoor patios in all of Toronto, complete with fire pits, colourful chairs, and flags to complete the atmosphere. The patio at El Catrin even has an overhead misting system to keep you cool, making it not only one of the greatest patios in Toronto but also one of the most comfortable.

This summer is also the perfect time to try a soft serve margarita for your first time ever, as temperatures have already been soaring even though it’s barely mid-June yet in the city of Toronto.

Soft serve margaritas aren’t necessarily a new invention, but they look very pretty and photograph well, and have been available for years now at certain restaurants and in places such as New York City, Houston and Boston.

Now, Toronto is getting in on the trend with El Catrin serving up the frostiest soft serve margaritas you’ll taste all summer.

The margaritas served at El Catrin are part soft serve, part margarita, all fun. The soft serve margarita cocktails come in mango and strawberry flavours.

A social media post from El Catrin announcing the arrival of the soft serve margaritas has over 800 likes on Instagram, with people posting comments on it like “need,” “whoa,” “this sounds delicious,” “OMG, need to try it” and simply, “running!”

“Omg absolutely stunning! I have to try this,” one person wrote in a comment on the social media post on El Catrin’s Instagram.

“Yesss I’ll take 14 of ’em,” another person quipped in a comment on the Instagram post about the viral soft serve margaritas now being served at El Catrin.

Soft serve cocktails aren’t necessarily new either, and Toronto has already had a taste of those. For example, Bar Mordecai on Dundas West in Toronto serves a rotating menu of soft serve cocktails.
