New Walmart Superstore to open in Mississauga, Ontario

A new Walmart Supercentre will open soon in Mississauga.

Last year, Walmart Canada announced plans for a new supercentre at Cawthra Road and Lakeshore Road East in Port Credit.

The exact address hasn’t been provided but images released indicate it will the above the Bank of Montreal at 515 Lakeshore Rd. E.

The new location appears to be above the Bank of Montreal in Port Credit.

The date for the opening was also not released but this week a Walmart spokesperson told INsauga.com the store will open in the summer of 2025.

The “new Supercentre is thoughtfully designed with the busy customer in mind and will offer all the great things you’d expect from your Walmart store (including our everyday low prices!) to provide the ultimate one-stop shop,” the spokesperson said in an email.

“As Canada’s landscape continues to change, we’re focused on serving even more Canadians – and we’re excited to be part of the significant growth Port Credit is experiencing.”

No other details, including the exact date of the opening or the size of the store, were released.

Walmart will also open a Supercentre at Hopedale Mall in Oakville in  late 2025.
