The Town of Milton is getting a new secondary school.

The announcement about St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School was recently made by Parm Gill, Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Milton and will be supported by a provincial investment of more than $53.6 million.

The new school is set to provide additional student spaces in a new, quality learning environment for the growing student population in the Town of Milton.

This project is also part of Ontario’s capital investment program to support students with modern learning spaces.

“The approval to proceed for St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School is incredible news for our community,” said Gill.

“We understand the need for new schools in Milton and I am proud that our government continues to get it done”.

The Ontario government has invested more than $250 million in capital investments for new schools and school expansions in Milton. Since 2018, the town has received a total of eight new schools along with five school expansions.

The new St. Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School will be located at the Southeast corner of Louis St. Laurent Ave. and Kennedy Circ. in Milton.
