‘Tis the season to explore and make the most of the pleasant weather, while experiencing all that Hamilton has to offer.

Hamilton Street Railway(HSR) has made a few additions to it’s current routes to keep up with the seasonal demand.

The summer schedule will be in effect starting  June 25 until September 3, as soon as the spring schedule ends.

One notable change during this summer is the rerouting of the northbound trips of Route 20 A-Line Express. Due to ongoing construction on John St.N., these trips will be redirected onto Discovery Dr.

The free Waterfront Shuttle from downtown Hamilton is also making a comeback with an entirely new route. Renamed as Route 99 Waterfront, it will now serve the lower bowl of Bayfront Park.

The northbound route will take passengers along Bay St. N., while the southbound trip will follow along James St. N. This revamped route provides direct service from downtown Hamilton offering residents easy access to the city’s attractions.

While Route 9 to Rock Gardens, will continue to operate on Sundays, until November 12, and Route 56 Centennial will operate daily, providing a convenient hourly service to Wild Waterworks, a popular summer destination.

An all-day Sunday express service will be in place starting in September. Routes on 10 B-Line and 20 A-Line, will have express service operating seven days a week. And to enhance connectivity to Stoney Creek, Route 55 will be extended to Winona Crossing. However, HSR hasn’t announced details surrounding start dates for these routes.
