New playground equipment coming to Burlington park

A Burlington park is getting a new look.
Fairchild Park, located at 2175 Fairchild Boulevard, is slated for the renewal with work just about to begin.
Construction at Fairchild Park will include:
- Replacement of playground equipment and swings
- Installation of engineered wood fibre surfacing
- Installation of new drainage system at playground areas
- New concrete transition curbs for accessibility into playground areas
- Path improvements and connections
- New fencing sections
Much of the work that will be included comes in response to a community survey.
During the work, the playground area and the existing park will be closed and fenced off.
The upgrades should be in place by the beginning of July.
