The Town of Milton has launched a telephone system upgrade, making it easier and more convenient for residents, businesses and visitors to access municipal services and programs.

The new telephone system offers several benefits for residents and customers, including:

  • Improved accuracy of call flows and service descriptions, making it easier to find information
  • Enhanced self-serve options
  • After-hours support, offering the ability to connect to a live customer service representative, 24/7

“I am pleased to see the launch of the telephone system upgrade,” said Mayor Gord Krantz. “Council has made a concerted effort to invest in opportunities to improve our customer service that results in making it easier for the public to access essential information and municipal services.”

When calling the Town of Milton at 905-878-7252, callers are presented with an automated directory for each municipal service. This directory provides residents and customers with messaging to ensure they can self-direct to the appropriate service area that can help them.

The system upgrade is a continued demonstration of the Town’s efforts to be accessible in various ways, and builds on our commitment to customer service. Additionally, the Town is focused on enhancing online access and services through the Digital Strategy.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for residents, businesses and community partners to access Town services by phone,” said Andy Scott, director Strategic Initiatives and Business Development.

“The new automated phone system streamlines processes, effectively manages call volume, and provides self-serve options. This is an example of the work we are doing to modernize services and improve the customer experience.”
