New Mississauga supermarket provides marketplace flair with traditional shopping experience

Mississauga’s newest supermarket is offering up more than just groceries.

Aljazeera Supermarket at 720 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. between Mavis Rd. and Wolfedale Rd. is not only a one-stop shop for everyday market needs, but the store also doubles as a restaurant offering a wide-variety of hot food including shawarma, manakish, salads and desserts.

Grocery items include canned goods, fresh breads, and dairy as well a fresh meat products overseen by experienced butchers.

Further, hookahs and supplies are plentiful as are a wide selection of beverages.

“This is a great place, it has a Middle Eastern flair, sort of like what you would find at a traditional outdoor market, but also provides a typical Canadian shopping experience,” said Haifa Said on social media. “The barbeque is also fantastic.”

Aljazeera is open from 9 a.m. to midnight every day.
