New COVID-19 outbreaks at Oakville, Milton retirement homes, Burlington hospital

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Burlington’s Joseph Brant Hospital.

The outbreak, which was declared on Dec. 14, is currently affecting seven patients being cared for in the 6S Pod 11 Medicine Unit.

Halton Region has also declared other new outbreaks at long term facilities across Burlington, Oakville and Milton.

Another outbreak being monitored by Halton Region in Burlington is at Heritage Place retirement home in Burlington.

The outbreak was declared on Dec. 16 and is affecting the third floor.

Another outbreak was also announced at the Wyndham Manor long term care home in Oakville. It was declared on Dec. 19 and is impacting the home.

There has also been a COVID-19 outbreak at the Allendale long term care home in Milton. Declared on Dec. 15, the outbreak is impacting both the Bronte Home and Allen Home.
