For our readers who have never heard your music, explain your sound in 140 characters:

I like to think of my sound as radio pop with a folk influence.

Ten years from now musically you’ll be…

Performing songs from my albums around the world, including live streams for my online fan base. I would hope to be a successful songwriter.

If you could go open up for any artist on tour right now who would it be?

In a heartbeat I would love to open up for John Mayer.

So, what’s your favourite thing to do when you aren’t doing your music?

When I’m not doing music, I enjoy relaxing with a puzzle, or watching a movie.

What is your Mississauga connection?

I grew up in Mississauga. This is my hometown and it is so great to be able to be a part of this growing musical community.

What’s your favourite place in Mississauga to perform and why?

My favourite place to perform has to be Celebration Square main stage. The sound has always been great, and I get to perform for a lot of people.

Where do you draw inspiration from when creating music and what’s your favourite part about the process?

I draw inspiration from life around me. Many of my songs are about my own experiences, or experiences of people I have met. The best thing about the writing process is that moment you come up with something you love, and the excitement from sharing it with others.

Who are your favourite musicians? Why?

A few of my favourite musicians include John Mayer, Norah Jones, & Ed Sheeran. They are all really great at writing melodies that don’t follow the typical chords progressions. Their lyrics are also very well written and clever.

What are five things your band can’t live without?

5 things that my band couldn’t live without would probably include our instruments, our cell phones, laughter, sleep and most importantly FOOD!

What’s the coolest gig you ever did? Why?

I think the coolest gig I did was my Debut Cd Release Party @ The Drake Underground in Toronto 2009. This was such a cool gig for me because it was a packed house with live recordings of the night as well as free candy give-aways. Imagine a room full of sugar high fans just dancing and having a great time. It was a blast!
