Music, games, activities at Halton police’s Special Friends Day

An event designed for youngsters with special needs in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills is being hosted by Halton police this weekend.

Special Friends Day is being described at a fun-filled day of activities, games, entertainment and play for those of all ages with additional needs and their families.

“This year’s free event will feature the musical debut of The Pyramids, Halton’s newest youth band,” said a police spokesperson in a news release.

“The Pyramids are brought to you in partnership with ProAction Cops & Kids, Halton Regional Police Service and the Melody Minds Music Program.”

The event will be held at Halton police headquarters, 2485 N. Service Rd. W., in Oakville.
