Brampton murder shooting

Charges have been laid nearly three months after a driver was shot before crashing into a tree and dying in Brampton.

Brampton resident Tesean Alvarez was found inside a crashed vehicle in the area of Vivians Crescent and Stokes Road in Brampton.

The 29-year-old had crashed into a tree but police say he was also suffering from gunshot wounds.

Alvarez was rushed to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Now months after the shooting death, investigators now say it is believed Alvarez was shot by another occupant of the vehicle.

Police say the victim and the other occupant “were involved in a violent altercation” that led to gunshots being “exchanged.”

A 24-year-old man from Brampton was arrested by Peel Regional Police in connection to the shooting on April 3 and a 21-year-old and 22-year-old were also arrested on April 4.
