Multiple vehicles struck after driver falls asleep on QEW in Mississauga

An apparently sleep-deprived driver has been charged after a collision in Mississauga today (Oct. 31).

OPP reports that a driver fell asleep on the eastbound QEW near Mississauga Rd, striking two other vehicles.

“The sleepy driver rolled his vehicle, landing on its roof,” said police.

Minor injuries have been reported.

The driver in question has been charged with careless driving, and all lanes are now reopened.
