Roads are currently closed in the area of a second cyclist-involved collision on Saturday in Brampton.

An adult female cyclist was hit by a vehicle this afternoon at Kennedy and Orenda near Queen Street East.

The cyclist was taken to a trauma centre in serious but non-life-threatening condition, while the driver was taken to local hospital as a precaution.

Road closures in the area include three northbound lanes on Kennedy Rd from Clarence, and westbound lanes on Orenda east of Kennedy.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes.

The collision was reported shortly after 1:00 p.m.

This is the second cyclist-involved collision in Brampton today, following an earlier incident this morning with a male cyclist in life-threatening condition.
