Motorcyclist thrown into back window of car in QEW crash in Oakville

A motorcyclist was injured after crashing into a vehicle on the QEW in Oakville on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency responders, including Oakville Fire and Halton paramedics, responded to the collision in the eastbound lanes of the highway between Bronte Road and Third Line.

The motorcycle rider was reportedly thrown into the car’s rear window upon impact. Both the rider and another person were assessed at the scene, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Police have not indicated the age of the motorcyclist, whether they were male or female, or provided any other details.

The collision blocked three left lanes of the eastbound QEW as crews worked to clear the area, which has since reopened to traffic.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
