Motorcycle collision causes road closure in Hamilton

A two vehicle collision involving a motorcycle has sent at least two to hospital and shut down a major intersection in Hamilton.

The Hamilton Police first reported a road closure shortly before 2 p.m. saying the intersection of James St. N. and Barton St. has been closed to motorists.

Sources say the collision involved two vehicles, one of them being a motorcycle.

Both the man and woman riding the motorcycle were taken to hospital by paramedics of the Hamilton Paramedic Service.

The condition of the two riders as well as the other involved driver has not been released.

Police ask drivers in the area with dash cameras to review their footage, and witnesses to the collision are encouraged to contact the Central Division of the Hamilton Police Service at 905-546-4925.
