Despite limited new listings on the Canadian market there are still some sought after options for astute buyers, ranging from waterfront homes with gorgeous lake views to condo properties deep in the heart of downtown Toronto.

But it was a 4-bedroom home in central Oshawa (sold May 19) that was the most viewed real estate listing in the country on the Zoocasa Real Estate website over the past month or so, with the property flipped for $273,000 more than the price paid for the home less than seven months before.

The fully renovated house on Verdun Road, south-east of downtown, came with a basement apartment (with private entrance), making it attractive to investors. The home sold for $718,000 after being listed at $749,999. It previously sold for $445,000 October 25, 2022.

The house, located in an established neighbourhood in Oshawa, boasted a stylish kitchen, new appliances and a host of renovations which, combined with the price point made it popular among real estate buyers, ranking it ahead of some upscale properties across the country that sold for far more.

Number two on the list was a three-bedroom waterfront home on Indian Road in Burlington that sold for $3.525 million, followed by a five-bedroom estate on Krieghoff Avenue in Markham that changed hands for a whopping $5,238,800.

At #4 was a custom four-bedroom home on Woodbine Avenue in Whitchurch-Stouffville that sold for $3,950,000 and at #5 was a penthouse condo in downtown Toronto at 10 Morrison Street – with one of the city’s most spectacular terrace views – that sold for $4,125,000.

At numbers 6,7 and 8 on the list were, respectively, a home still listed for sale in Slave Lake, Alberta ($899,900), a property in Georgina, ON that sold for $711,500 and a five-edroom house in Blackfalds, Alberta that is still available at the bargain price of $599,000.
