Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon residents over 18 can get a COVID-19 booster shot with a walk-in appointment at Mississauga’s newest mass vaccination clinic.

For the next four days, Peel Public Health (PPH) says there will be 400 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine available for walk-in boosters at Mississauga’s Rockwood Mall clinic at 4141 Dixie Rd.

The “400 doses at 4 p.m.” campaign starts on Wednesday and will run from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily until Saturday.

The clinic is still offering first and second vaccine doses by walk-in or appointment for residents aged 18 and older, and booster doses for age 30-plus population by appointment only.

Appointments can be booked through the COVID-19 vaccination portal starting today (Jan. 17) or by calling 1-833-943-3900.

PPH said the Rockwood Mall clinic will add about 5,000 weekly doses to vaccination capacity in Mississauga.

“Vaccination remains the cornerstone of protection against severe outcomes during this period of transition,” said Dr. Lawrence Loh, Peel Region’s medical officer of health.

Peel health officials add that residents don’t have to wait to book an appointment at the new clinic. They can do so at any such location in Mississauga and Brampton.

PPH said vaccination with a booster “is the foundation for protection during the Omicron surge.”

Residents looking to get vaccinated outside of this clinic can do so at any Peel clinic, and you can visit peelregion.ca/covid19vaccine to find a location near you.
