Mississauga native and Memphis Grizzlies gaurd Dillon Brooks has signed a three-year, $35 million extension according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Brooks has been enjoying a breakout season this year, he’s averaging 16.1 points per game, to go along with 3.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.

He’s also shooting 42.2 per cent from the field, 39.9 per cent from deep–a career best–, and 84.4 per cent from the charity stripe.

Brooks was originally drafted by the Houston Rockets in 2017, only to be traded immediately to the Grizzlies.

He’s been a key cog in this year’s young Grizzlies’ team that is making an unexpected playoff push; they’re currently in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference–three games ahead of the ninth-place Trailblazers.
